The Ipocalypse? iPhone 3G launch by Apple or by NASA?

Yesterday's meltdown is being referred to by some tech websites as the iPocalypse!
The server issues that caused a slow down activating the phones wasn't resolved until nearly 5pm last night.
The kinks seem to be working themselves out.
Stock at most AT&T stores seems to have been wiped out. 2 options to get one, go there and hope to get one of the phones they are supposed to get daily or order for fulfillment by mail. A phone will be sent to your store in a couple days and you can pick it up.
Apple stores seems to have had more inventory. Some stores had trucks nearby serving as mobile warehouses. Things were slow at most Apple stores due to the servers problems. Some Apple stores ran out of 16GB phones, Eastview did. Some Apple stores capped the line so that store could close.
We went fulfillment option and I have the confirm and tracking numbers via email.
Soon we will be taking the communion of the Jesus Phone.
